External of the living box

An additional fuel tank with 100 litre capacity – to increase the overall fuel range.

A diesel water separator – concern of the quality of the fuel in some countries.

A grey water tank with an easy draining mechanism.
Snorkel - A high-level air intake to reduce the amount of dust being sucked into the engine. -
Roof rack on the cab with storage boxes

With all the additional weight we have had additional leafs fitted to the front and rear springs.

A bicycle box / spare wheel rack that is at high-level on the back. The system is on a winch, so the bikes drop down andwhen lifted protected from the weather. Secondly, the spare wheels coming down to enable them to roll -they are too heavy for me to lift.

Replaced the windows, roof lights and door with double glaze units which have fly screens and blackout blinds built into the units.

One of our personal favourites a Safari window, basically a part of the wall opens up next to our seating area.

A full respray of the box.

A pocket door that’s slides between the cab and the box area so that we can lock this for security reasons.

Inside of our home
The inside the box was fully stripped out and started again.

We are powered by 2 lithium leisure batteries connected to a Victron energy management system which provides 240V via a inverter and 12v system. It can also be connect to a shore line power supply.

The batteries are charged by 5 solar panels which can produce a total of 350 watts and two battery chargers that come off the engine alternator.

A Wi-Fi system with a booster. Our aim is to buy a Sim card when we arrive in each country and slot it into the unit and be able to use local cost Wi-Fi in each country.

The hot water/heating system runs on diesel from the main fuel tank.

200l water storage tank inside the truck for frost protection.

A UV water purification system which consists of filters and a UV light.

An air-conditioning system which runs on 240v.

Cooking is via an induction hob and anoven/microwave/grillthey both run on 240v

The fridge is the type used in a yacht that has a separate compressor and is able to withstand the bouncing around,we hope!, and it can run on either 240 or 12v

We have a walk-in shower/bathroom with a composting toilet which has so far coped with our testing!

A complete new fit out of cupboards, seating and beds have also been built.
